Jazz-Choral (A. Gebel). Perepletinn'a. (Interlacing)

Very beautiful, bright, colorful album. Personally I consider it one of the best Ukrainian jazz albums at all – but not only among other discs recorded a capella. I think that if the leader of the collective, Olexander Gebel, did not leave Ukraine a few years ago, today his "Jazz-Chorale" would be just beyond any competition. Artistry of this band is so natural, relaxed – it seems that all of its participants were already born with singing on their lips and microphones in their hands. Jazz singing, I should emphasize. And, evidently, very delicate, sensitive nature. At least, I have not had a chance to here too many works where sparkling, merry mood were so easily and harmoniously combined with lyric one – and flowed in something so free and happy, such... as sunny wind – not that from stars and for astrophysics, but that from one's heart, from the soul – and for the soul. And not a single word – only singing... It has been repeatedly tested – any morning started with this music unnoticeably but certainly becomes a holiday. Not loudly. Not a holiday you find in the calendar. A live holiday – it is when your face shines with a smile, when eyes shine with the warmth inside. Well, you know that. No doubt, they know that as well – those who composed and released "Interlacing". It is, certainly, not a panacea – but a very effective means, I recommend it. It seems to me that it is just impossible not to smile as a reply to this living, sincere gladness. Even mentally – that is not the essence. Whatever might they say, but only a joyful person is able to bring harmony in life – and not only in his/hers. I hope that is exactly what is going to happen to you.
