The first Ukrainian compact from the family ensemble of the Tafiychuks has already become a very pleasant, bright present for all admirers of Ukrainian and, in particular, Carpathians folklore. Above all – for Ukrainian admirers, because before that the Tafiychuks already had discs released in Poland, which almost never appeared in Ukraine. Actually, it quite often happens so that first glory to our musicians is celebrated somewhere abroad, and only then – at home. Well, it is still better than in no way at all – right? And this whole introduction is in the context of that the Tafiychuks have already made a next confident step: you now see the already 2CD release of Huzul melodies performed by this family band. It is already known that the Tafiychuks are really skillful masters able to create practically any music instrument for Carpathian music playing, therefore they mainly perform their music with homemade instruments. And they know how to play them as they should, and they sing not worse. Thus, on this double album you will hear two different series of melodies and singing. One disc is music for the wedding ceremony, from the first wedding game and up to parting with guests. The second disc demonstrates the palette of opportunities of various instruments, here one can hear melodies for various pipes, violin, dulcimers, as well as a few rhymes. To make it short, we believe that this release will no doubt bring joy to all those who are not indifferent – and, we hope it will cause your insuperable desire to visit the Carpathians and to hear all that live.
