Eduard Drach. Nebo Ukrajiny.

Today Edward Drach is well known poet, the author of songs. In the certain sense he can be called the bard. But not with usual definition for the post-Soviet space. More likely, he can be called the modern continuer of the Kobzar’s traditions, unique Ukrainian bard. At least, he sings his songs accompanied by as guitars, as kobza sometimes. Moreover, his songs’ texts do also have a retrospective character. Edward Drach appeals to the Kyivska Rus history either in strict historical or at a poetic foreshortening at least in this album. Actually, that is what he us a poet for. More precisely - the bard. That is the person capable to fill his works with any sacral things, to bear from his mind any signs, codes, rhythms. So, we shall deal with the truth not historical (and what is this)but subjective one here. It is not one to be argue with. It can either answer to the internal validity of the listener – or not . You yave to check it up by your own.
