Even during his life, Kost' Yerofeyev became a legend of the Ukrainian underground. We believe, due to genuine sincerity of everything that he did – this is true not only about performance of songs, but also his public, life position as a whole. Anyway, at the end of the 1980 (and in general) far not every Ukrainian would risk to be a conscientious Ukrainian.. Kost' not only spoke about it – he lived so, he sang about it. Thus – he talked to thousands. Talked-and-sang – nicely, beautifully, clearly, honestly; in his works lyricism and the heroic spirit interlace naturally and very tightly. Somehow he managed to avoid unnecessary eloquence – and this is not as easy as it might seem.. In 2008 Kost' Yerofeyev passed away. And in about a year, the double album, which you now see in front of you, was released. The first disc is military romanticism. The second – lyrics. That's true – two components.. We should also note that you will find here both songs from the albums "Christened with Wire" and "Legionary", and rare concert and home records. No wonder that the quality of a part of the tracks is not too high – but, we believe, the general value of this edition easily outweights such drawbacks.
