Within the limits of the series "Golden Collection", a sort of a souvenir mini-collection has been launched – which is exactly represented by the collection "Ukrainian Souvenir". The discs of this mini-series stand out due to their design – thus, it will be easy for you to differ them against the general background. ...there is so much positive things in this music as may be only in pleasant memories about one’s childhood. I have not remembered about childhood by chance, because it contains melodies, which were popular in different times, starting with 70-th and finishing with 90-th of the previous century. Most of us were children exactly in those time...

For me it was a real discovery that some of these melodies had been popular half a century ago – you see, I thought they were my contemporaries. Still, this fact by itself counts in favour of the quality of the songs presented here – generations change, but they remain.

By its mood, the music represented here somehow reminds beginnings of the American jazz. Actually, these songs, almost all of them without exception, contain the special, touching secret of the naive and sincere sounding. The modern variety art no longer contains such a mystery, and, presumably, will never have it again.

Pay attention – in the 80-th of the previous century disco was performed all over the world, but the Ukrainian disco has such expressive Ukrainian features that you do not want to call this music simply “disco”. Most likely, it may be called “ethno-disco”.
