Videyko M. Ukraine: from Trypillya to Ants.

"Different names were given to our land, its forests, rivers and plains in old times: Kimmeria, Scythia, Sarmathia, Zamorya, Levedia, Dori, Arheym, Rus, Borysfen, Danprastadyr, Istr, Tiras, Hyppanis... All these, presently sometimes incomprehensible and even absolutely unknown names were given in ancient times by representatives of the people who lived in our Land. What was behind these names, how did the people who invented and pronounced these words live? Dozens of thousand years of ancient history of the land that is now referred to as Ukraine have been discovered due to field archaeological researches during the recent one hundred and fifty years. Annually, a lot of expeditions search and find in this land traces of past epochs and events. From such findings the mosaic of the ancient history is created. Its separate pages, episodes covering the period from the Trypillya archaeological culture (5400-2650 B.C.) to the beginning of Ants' history (4th-5th  centuries A.D.) are represented in the book.

Historical events represented in the book are correlated with the territory of Ukraine in its modern borders.
