"The book speaks of an outstanding event of our past – the November Raid of 1921, or, as it is also called, the Second Winter Campaign. The book presents both the broad social and political background of this event, and its details. The author also dwells in detail on activity of the foreign state Ukrainian People's Republic's centre headed by Symon Petlyura, as well as on activity of the so-called Guerrilla Insurgent Headquarter (GIH) headed by Yuri Tyutyunnyk, and on a detailed description of all the three groups of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, which carried out the raid. The book's pages vividly resurrect individualities of the November Raid heroes in 1921.

Why was the November Raid defeated and Ukraine remained in captivity? Why, despite of Ukrainians' hatred for Moscow communist occupiers, they never rose to support the raid? Answers to these and other questions are offered in this book.

The book is accompanied by a large number of drawings (94) that visualize events of those times, as well as colored maps (10) with event mentioned in the book marked on them. At the end, the book contains annexes that make it possible for the reader to deepen his/her knowledge about the events mentioned (50 articles) and about the persons (157 articles) involved in them.
