El Kravchuk. Vertinsky: To, chto ja dolzhen skazat‘. /digi-pack/. (What I Should Say)

El Kravchuk has always stood out against other pop performers. And, what is specific, far not the least role in this belonged to the performance manner and repertoire... As a result, Andriy succeeded in creating an ambiguous, interesting image, in which romanticism is the basic but not the only color. And thus there has always been space both for the tragedy, and for farce, and for light entertainment – thus, it was possible to experiment. And is it really strange that it is he who as a result dared to record an album with Alexander Vertinsky's songs? No, not strange – because out of all Ukrainian pop artists nobody, presumably, matches this role as well as El Kravchuk. However, as to success of this experiment – let every listener draw his/her conclusions. It seems to us that there is no sense in comparing this with the original – at least because these are different people of different age groups and in different epochs. Therefore, each has his own truth. Although there is the feeling that there is quite a lot of the theatrical in El Kravchuk's truth – but we are living in times of endless special effects. Outright true is not listened to. Quite a different thing is if one sprinkles it a little with spangles, adding at least a light make-up...
