At present, as known, the composition and sounding of Kontrabass have changed quite considerably. Thus, the debut album is simultaneously rare evidence – there is no longer the Kontrabass that you have anywhere here, except for parallel alternative worlds. It is a pity to some extent – because that was cool. But not too much of a pity – because the present Kontrabass, having gone through transformations, has not become worse – it has become different. However, it is still too early to speak about results of the changes – in contrast to first conclusions. And the conclusions are such: in the space of young Ukrainian music, Poltava region is represented not too actively, and Kontrabass appeared here not that long ago. Therefore, it is even more pleasant that the fresh team at once announces its appearance so smilingly, colorfully – one looks forward for continuation. And not only because it is just interesting how the group will sound now, with the instruments of their own production. Continuation is expected because sincerity and high-quality simplicity that sound on the first album – do attract. This refers both to texts, and music, and moods – honestly, clearly, without pretension. Cordially.
