Celtic music is such a magic thing that quite a lot of people just cannot pass by it with an indifferent ear. And, in our opinion, the more such non-indifferent people exist – the better. For every question has its answer, therefore as a result the amount of magic beauty in our world gradually increases – and thus more quiet happiness is reflected in human eyes. Music by the group Dark Patrick evidently demonstrates that even in sad melodies a trifle of joy always lives, and in joyful melodies there is always space for deep, free breathing. Besides, let us attract your attention to a couple of aspects more. First, the founder of this project is Paul Chilton – a Brit who for a few years already has been living and creatively working in Ukraine, in his store, there are quite a lot of interesting deeds in the domain of culture and education. Secondly, the sparkle of Dark Patrick is also that this group follows the way of interlacing, mutual complementing of the Celtic and Ukrainian music traditions. This is revealed, say, not only in involvement into the music of the old-world Ukrainian bandura or performance of Ukrainian songs – this is rather about melodious penetration. And that is why it is very nice to hear how quite the "Irish" violin at some instant becomes distinctly "Ukrainian" – in these moments you feel with your whole skin affinity with the roots that seem to be so distant. In other words, music by groups like Dark Patrick restores integrity of the world, therefore one should listen to it – necessarily.
