"In 1928, the outstanding Ukrainian poet and translator Myhaylo Dray-Hmara composed the sonnet "Swans": he referred to Kyiv group of neo-classic poets as the "five-member grape of invincible singers", to which he belonged as well. All of them were reprised, and only Maksym Rylsky managed to leave the prison alive, while the Stalinist reprisals sword of Damocles was always hanging over him.

The fate of many poets through the ages has not always been happy. In most cases, instead of laurel wreath they were crowned with those of thorns. The overwhelming majority of Ukrainian writers of the sixties suffered not the best fate – some prematurely left for the better world, and some had to work "for the drawer". There were also forced partial compromises with authorities...

From the wider range of writers of the sixties, we so far present small selections of poetry of another "five-member grape" – V. Symonenko, M. Vingranovsky, B. Oliynyk, I. Drach and L. Kyseloyv.

On each of the abovementioned poets (except for, it seems, L. Kyselyov) respectful research works have already been written. Their creativity cannot be covered with a few lines, since each work, especially a poetic masterpiece requires deep discussion. But sounding of poetry has advantages over any superacademic interpretation..."

Collection release, cardboard digi-pack. Music design includes fragments of pieces by the composers V. Sylvestrov, V. Ivasyuk, V. Hubarenko, V. Huba. Works by the artist of the sixties Georgy Yakutovych are used in the design.
