Dmytro Lutsenko is one of those people whose contribution in development of Ukrainian variety art cannot be overestimated. He wrote so many lyrics, so many of them turned into favorite songs of several generations... And how many of these songs have long been considered folk ones? It is impossible to count, certainly, but not one for sure. And it is not surprising, since not only the lyrics, but also really beautiful music was created. The best composers of those times cooperated with him – L.Revutsky, K.Dankevych, P.Mayboroda, V.Vermenych, I.Shamo. Really the best – as well as him. He passed away already long time ago, but his influence lasts even till now, his lyrics till now remain the example – there is no more reliable acknowledgement of talent than testing by time. Dmytro Lutsenko's work till now passes the test – easily. And you can easily make sure of this yourself having listened to the disk. The more so that here all songs are accompanied with the bandura – a strange instrument. Its sounding is sometimes capable of stopping the flow of time. Though, for a while...
