Druha Rika. Best 1999/2009. (CD+DVD).

In fact, Druha Rika starts official counting of its history from 1996. However, work over recording of the first album started in 1999 – and that explains why exactly this period of time is included into the name of the anniversary collection. Ten years... By and by, without artificial agitation but confidently enough, "Druha Rika" has occupied a noticeable place in the Ukrainian music space. The juveniles have during this time become though young, but already men – this has influenced both the texts and the music. A bit more of sadness, more transparency – and fewer and fewer superfluous motions. Music experience plus experience of life – and today "Druha Rika" is one of the brightest representatives of Ukrainian neo-romanticism. The group so obviously grows above itself with every new album, that this stop in-between seems very deserved and appropriate. It is already possible to afford comparing and somehow re-evaluating some achievements, drawing certain conclusions – the collection of all clips in this sense is also very demonstrative. In the end, it is not bad at all: during ten years – four number albums, plus compilations, plus two dozens of videos. Thus, there is potential – and that means that the movement continues. And one would like to believe that in the future Rika will become even deeper, and wider, and cleaner. Otherwise, why would one need the potential?
