Evshanzillya. Rock Collection 2007.

At the beginning of 2007, it seems there is just no fresher rock collection than this one. However, it is not its only – and not its main advantage over the rest. Somehow it has happened so that Ukrainian rock collections are more frequently oriented to two basic directions. Either this is pop rock or groups that play heavy and super-heavy, alternative rock. Such two extremities. Today – we finally have the opportunity to hear some of that significant variety that lives and sounds in the wide field between the abovementioned extremities. Secondly, practically all groups represented here do not yet have official releases, and thus it is not that easy to hear their high-quality recordings. The three exceptions are, unfortunately, only exceptions... But I listen – and I really hope that we will soon be able to listen to full-value albums of inhabitants of this compiling. They really deserve that, and why say – we really deserve that. Each group here is a bright personality, expressive manner. I will not even single anyone out – in my opinion, each of them is worth our attention. Absolutely different, and differently talented – as it should be. And it is a sure fact that each will find a grateful listener. Personally I, for example, would listen with pleasure to an unfolded prospect of about a half of them – and this is only after hearing one song.
