Mystification. Insidious Man.

Till now, albums by just one group represented such style in our catalogue as psychobilly – but Mad Heads, as known, long ago changed their name and started performing quite different music. However, among Ukrainian musicians, there are quite a lot of apologists of this music style – and today we offer to you to become acquainted with the debut album by the group Mystification. It is necessary to say for the sake of being fair that participants of the group define their style as a mixture of psychobilly, rockabilly and punk. Well, so much the better: the mixture must be an explosive one already by definition. Actually, to some extent it is really so – but, it seems, the basis here is just rockabilly. Psychobilly elements are rather decorations diversifying sounding of the album. Well and punk aesthetics reveal both in the ideological aspect, and in the aspect of the general sounding – there is a special charm in the "raw meat", which you will hear here (as it is indicated by the musicians from the very beginning that at arrangement they were guided by the classic sounding of rockabilly and psychobilly). Everything is honest – yes, this word matches best. Possibly, as a result the album lacks a little bit of the commercial gloss – but is this really a drawback? Instead, it creates the feeling of complete, live presence. Moreover, at a certain instant it might even seem that the 21^st century has never come – and this is not that bad a feeling...
