Braty Blyuzu have always created their albums in a big way – but in the new work, it seems, they have even surpassed themselves. Not in the geographic sense – although, it should be noted, this album was born at the crossroads of the two cities' energies, those of Kyiv and Vienna. But there are a sufficient number of other intersections and branches – cultural, stylistic, creative. Actually, Braty Blyuzu have never avoided a chance of appealing to the roots – in their previous recordings, there are enough references to Ukrainian themes. But now they have decided to mix a whole new cocktail and have thrown a bunch of fragrant herbs into their crucible: jazz, new-age, art rock, world music... Moreover, the mood, character, energy content of the project's music have clearly changed. If previously it was quite melancholic meditation music with splashes of crazy emotions, now – this is, rather, music of contemplation in sunlight, of revelations and illuminations, quiet music of joy and recognition. So it seems to me. We see a rich and diverse palette, we see freedom and skill of expression, we see transparent depth of the thought – we see quiet beauty...
