Фiльм-оперу "Наймичка" я дивився давненько (лiт 30 тому) по телевiзору, а тепер з задоволенням переглянув, не поспiшаючи. Менi вiн подобається тим, що показує життя простих людей, людськi долi, людське горе, природу.

Ukrainian musical film in Ukrainian. A little mistake scandal, she makes a baby, but his father is not known. She give up to bring her baby up. She leaves the baby in a farmer's house, but she didn't forget his son. She decide to return the firmar's house as a baby-sitting. Very serious story, at last she gets incurable desease. She told her son the truth and she died. It was too sad. But her all lines are musical. She goes to church and goes to confession. It is sin to tell a lie.

Кілька років шукала цей диск, нарешті він з'явився у продажу. Без сумніву він зацікавить любителів оперного співу, бо в ньому звучать голоси найкращих солістів Київської опери: Л. Руденко, Є. Чавдар, Б. Гмирі, В. Тимохіна, Л. Лобанової. Постановка і запис надзвичайно вдалі. Сюжет трагічний, але емоційна напруга захоплює. Фільм дуже сподобався.

This is a very good transfer from a good quality film strip - the colors are generally good, the brightness/contrast is very good and the grain is modest. I would recommend this film to all lovers of classic Ukrainian films!
