I guess it is quite understandable whom this collection is devoted to. There hardly can be found a person who will reject the fact that our mothers deserve it. I could start talking about the importance, which mother has in the life of every person, or which role this image plays for the culture of the whole mankind – but I won’t, as all of us understand that very well. I hope. At least, those people who composed or performed the songs presented at this disc really understood all that. Have they performed them well? Yes, they have. Moreover, they are real artists. Kostyantyn Ohnevyi, Nina Matviyenko, Dmytro Hnatyuk – I will not mention all of them. We have known them all very well and have liked the songs performed by them for a long time. I guess our mothers know and like them, too. That’s why I am not going to say long and tedious things any more, though I can do such things, you know. So, to make a long story short, this disc is a very nice present for a beloved woman. For mother, wife, girl friend, daughter, yourself – it is up to you to define whom for.

Моя мама - украинка из-под Полтавы. В начале 30-х годов маму - 12-летнюю девочку Катю и её родителей, практически всю родню выслали на Урал. Мама и мои близкие героически боролись с обстоятельствами, в которых оказались в те ужасные годы своей молодости. Дед с бабушкой несколько раз бежали на родину - их ловили и высылали обратно. Дед работал в сталинском лагере на лесоповале - умер из-за гангрены ног в 1933г. Мама выжила только потому, что пошла в няньки к семье, где была своя корова - кормилица и была картошка. На ноги нечего было надеть - ей одна сердобольная женщина принесла лапти. Так и ходила. Углежжение и доменные печи в Чусовом, потом учёба в Свердловске, работа на железной дороге. Только расправила плечи - война... Если всю мамину историю вспоминать, то сердце замирает от ужаса и скорби. Как же нужно любить жизнь! Всё это я вспомнил, слушая самую первую песню альбома "Рiдна мати моя" - "Пiсню про рушник" - а в голове звучала только одна мысль: "Спасибi тобi мамо, що дала менi життя!".

Еще хотел бы рассказать одну интересную историю. У меня есть племянник, ему 8, живет в Киеве. При всех плюсах, он слегка попал в путы цивилизации: Игроленды, игры-стрелялки, компьютеры, жвачки, идиотские журналы типа Скубиду и тому подобное. Как то были мы вместе у моих родителей (его бабушек и дедушек). Я с ноутбуком. Племянник говорит - дай поиграть. Говорю - бери (насильно ведь не запретишь). И тут он замечает диск (Українські жартівливі пісні, купленный кстати в УМКЕ). Говорит племянничек - А давай поставим. Ну и поставили. Заиграли украинские песни. Ребенка не узнать. Забросил все игрушки, сидит пританцовывает, подпевает. Слушал диск 2 дня оторвать нельзя было. ОТСЮДА ВЫВОД - РОДИТЕЛИ ДАВАЙТЕ СВОИМ ДЕТЯМ СЛУШАТЬ ХОРОШУЮ УКРАИНСКУЮ МУЗЫКУ. Дети сами отберут что им интересно а что нет. Об одном прошу - не ограничивайте выбор ребенка журналом Скубиду и походом в Караван на выходных. Спасибо за внимание.

Я даже не знаю что можно сказать. Людям которые любят украинские песни и своих матерей этот диск обязателен наверное :) Душа отдыхает и радуется слушая диск. Огромное спасибо магазину УМКА.

Дуже гарний диск, повний пісень мого дитинства. Я придбав цей диск власне для мами, вона прислухалась до цих пісень, під-час радіотрансляцій, кликала нас, своїх дітей, прийти і послухати.
Проте прислуховуючись до слів, багато пісень про сумне, про те що матері скоро може не бути поруч, і саме тому я не буду дарувати цей диск мамі.
А шкода, вона дуже любить пісні про матір.
