Alena Vinnitskaya. Konvert. (Envelope)

The new album by Alyona Vinnitska appears rather a compact one: four new songs, three remixes, two videos. But, nevertheless, it seems really rich in content. In other words, the album "Envelope" represents a new quality of this project's music. If after release of the "Electro" disc it seemed that it was exactly in the direction of electronic music that they should move from then on, now it seems that they should postpone changing of directions. It is difficult to explain this, because nothing has changed radically from outside. But somehow there is a persistent feeling that within this music there now sounds such confidence of one's own forces, ability to speak out simply, without superficial things – that it really looks like a new quality level. At such circumstances, "Envelope" can be considered a nice piece of news – and we should expect that the next long-play album will turn out a bomb.
