Lviv Chamber Orchestra, founded in 1959, was the first ensemble of that type in Ukraine. Till now it remains one of the best orchestras in Ukraine and may be not only in Ukraine. The orchestra often performs concerts and is a laureate and a winner of many festivals and contests.
