Anniebri. Lo-Fi Feeling.

It would seem – just vocal and the piano. But this only verbally looks rather ascetic – in actual fact, a surprisingly powerful emotional current lives inside there. Actually, the way the voice and the piano sound – makes Hanna Brizhata, aka Anniebri, a truly unordinary phenomenon on our scene. Honestly speaking, I can hardly think about a single Ukrainian album resembling "Lo-Fi Feeling" – in it, with the help of only the two abovementioned instruments, imaginary folklore, art-rock, neoclassicism, the new cabaret intertwine closely. Thus – let us go back to the name – this pungent mixture is served seasoned with the sauce (i.e.: in the aesthetics) of lo-fi, which they have been more and more frequently preferring in the world during the recent years. While we talk about the world – two of sufficiently approximated examples occur to me: Tori Amos and Alina Orlova. This is, actually, a compliment. Because, most likely, if one puts these three figures one by one, the number of contracting aspects will still appear to be greater than the number of things in common. And the issue is not in the volume of stage experience: it is about the difference of internal worlds reflected outside – and it is impossible to compare them, they are self-sufficient, each in its own way. It seemed to me that Anniebri carries inside unconcealed, pungent tenderness, unprotected strength – such a piercing flower of our ordinary-astonishing world. Her songs sound honest in every line, pause – and even the nervous motions result, in the end, in true silence.
